ARBITRATION: FAMILY DISPUTE AND DIVORCE

An arbitrator is a decision maker. If you would like to submit your dispute to one of our arbitrators, we will listen to both of you and send you a written decision in two weeks. Usually when disputants decide to use arbitration, they agree in advance to abide by the decision of the arbitrator.

The arbitrator charges by the hour and usually charges a flat rate to write the decision. The parties can decide between themselves how to pay the arbitrator. Sometimes they split the costs equally and sometimes they pro rate them according to income. Our office includes arbitrators who are experienced in divorce, family issues, inheritance disputes, as well as labor and employment issues. Arrangements can be made to provide you with arbitrators in other subject areas.
