I
have been practicing Divorce and Family Law in Syracuse, NY since
1986. I have represnted clients in a full range of legal issues
including divorce, child custody, parental access schedules (visitation),
child support, grandparent rights and adoption.
Law
is my second career. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and
a Masters in Counseling, both from Syracuse University. Prior to
attending law school, I worked for almost ten years as a high school
counselor in Plainfield, New Jersey. My career in law started when
I graduated from New York
Law School in the top 12% of my class. This was followed by a year
working for the Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C.;
and five years in Asia: Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia.
I
am married with two children whom I adopted. My son is from the
Philippines and my daughter is from Peru. My husband and I have
two grandchildren.
I retired as Acting Justice for the Village of Fayetteville in 1995. In 1994 I held a position as an adjunct professor of Family Mediation at SUNY Oswego. I am one of fifty volunteer mediators for Child Find of America, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to reuniting parents and children who are the victims of parental abduction.
